They both have a white and grey gradient background behind the cover stories and various front cover features. Have more than one artist surrounding the cover model, and their all-small pictures, decorating the artist, which is the cover model. Both the pictures of the main cover model are medium close up demonstrating that normal view of a world famous celebrity. Both the mastheads are covered with the cover models, which represents how iconic the magazines names, have become to the selected consumers. Both mastheads on both the magazines change colour depending on the ‹background cover model and etc. | On the front cover of ‘Kerrang’ there little information of cover stories within, just demonstrating the main cover story on the front cover, whilst ‘Black Beat’ has a vast amount of cover stories around the cover model, showing what articles are within the magazine. The main colour used on ‘Black Beat’ is mainly the colour pink portraying there feminine demographic, whilst ‘Kerrang’ uses black and red mainly which helps the front cover to stand out to any consumer. The target audience for ‘Kerrang’ are teens and over mainly into rock or heavy metal whereas ‘Black Beat’ target demographic is shown within the name of the magazine ‘black’ females who enjoy listening to hip hop. |
